Cowichan Valley Hospice Golf Tournament

Speedy Glass Duncan is a big supporter of local Cowichan events and during the summer, we had the chance to help out with the 7th Annual Cowichan Valley Hospice Golf tournament which took place at the Cowichan Golf & Country Club on July 12th.

When the Cowichan Valley Hospice Golf Tournament asked us to help out we decided put our thinking caps on to try to find something fun and maybe a little different we could bring to the event.  Then it came to us, we repair and replace windshields right? So why not donate a windshield to the Hospice for some target practise on the golf course! No, really we did – here’s a picture :

Let's face it, who wouldn't have fun trying to break a windshield with a golf ball off the tee if given the chance? As the photo above shows, it seems, we have some very good shots in the Cowichan Valley.

Target practise anyone ?

From the Hospice Society: What a fabulous Saturday it was for our 7th Annual Golf for Hospice! We are still tallying the numbers but the auction and draws were a great success! Thank you to everyone who participated! Thank you to Cowichan Golf & Country Club for hosting! Norm, Cory and the staff outdid themselves! How about those burgers at lunch and the mushrooms and steak at dinner????? YUMMMM!

Yes…this year’s putting contest was a little different! Disclaimer: no pink flamingos were harmed during the course of this golf tournament|!

We hope everyone had fun trying to break our poor windshield with their golf balls. We sure had a great day and were very pleased to do our little bit in supporting this great Cowichan Valley society.

From the Hospice Society: Cowichan Valley Hospice Golf Tournament at Cowichan Golf & Country Club – Thanks to all our sponsors, auction donors, golfers & diners! Together we raised over $25,000 for quality hospice and bereavement care in the Cowichan Valley!

Congratulations to everyone involved!
